RAFT program gives up to $10,000 to tenants facing eviction in Massachusetts

Grants for renters and landlords.

The Baker Administration plans to add $171 million behind a renter relief program. It will allocate $100 million for supporting the Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) program, a rental relief program for both renters and landlords who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.

The maximum benefit allowed through RAFT is $10,000.

The HomeBASE emergency shelter transition program gets another $48.7 million to help the homeless with permanent housing.
